The Person

Dylan Brooks, born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, developed a passion for music at the age of 6 when he was first introduced to 'Guitar Hero'. By age 8 he began drumming with the desire to play along to his favourite songs from the game. His new found rhythm would lead him to create melodys to songs of his own. Although he was constantly expanding and enhancing his capabilities as well as his taste in music, he had no intention of rapping until high school when he discovered the up and coming Hip Hop artist known as NF. The relatability and vulnerability of NF's music inspired Dylan to begin writing about his own struggles. At this time music became more than a hobby, it became a manner of processing emotions and coping with painful expieriences. His familiarity with percussion allowed him to pick up Beat Production rather quickly which would result in the creation of his first album, VOID, in 2019. However it would not be released until many years later due to lack of confidence and finances. Despite the challenges he continued to hone his skills in producing, rapping, and writing until 2023 when his EDM mix "Synth Theft" was released. Despite having upwards of 30 songs from years prior, Dylusion's lyrics would not be heard until November 2024 when he teamed up with Grammy nominated producer, Craig Durrance, for the release of the song, "Need Your Love." A newfound confidence would lead him to follow the single up with eight additional songs to form the album, Pulled Apart, an album that would feature Jazmyn Faye. Since then Dylan has not slowed down having released two additional singles as well as a second album in 2025.
